In Bangalore, India, there is a high-rise building called the "Kingfisher Towers," which is one of the top-tier residential buildings locally. Each apartment starts at 31.5 million Indian rupees (approximately 2.65 million RMB), so living there is considered a symbol of wealth.

It is reported that Narayan Murthy, the father-in-law of former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, purchased one of the apartments last year.

Rishi Sunak's wife, Aishwarya Murthy, who is jokingly referred to as "richer than a king," owes her wealth primarily to her father, a major figure in India's electronics industry, and also holds shares in the technology company HCL Technologies, founded by her father.

The "Kingfisher Towers" has an eye-catching yet somewhat jarring rooftop, which is a two-story white villa. At first glance, it easily reminds people of the White House in Washington D.C., USA. It is reported that this "sky villa," located about 400 feet (about 122 meters) above the ground, was indeed modeled after the White House.

However, according to local reports on June 1st, although the "Sky White House" has been built for many years, no one has ever lived there. Even its ownership is still unknown.

It is reported that this villa, built high up, covers an area of approximately 40,000 square feet (about 3,716 square meters), with a helicopter landing pad and at least two infinity pools, along with an open-air deck that offers a 360-degree view of the city. Additionally, it has two dedicated elevators that go directly from the ground floor to the villa.

It is said that building such a large area of house on the top of a building is a challenge. It is reported to be installed on a cantilever structure, which is supported only at one end.

Despite disrupting the local skyline, it received approval from the municipal department, indicating that the owner is quite influential.

The "Sky White House" belongs to businessman Vijay Mallya, who commissioned a local real estate company to build his "dream home" in 2010. It is reported that more than 150 million RMB was invested, but this amount does not include interior decoration costs.

Although Mallya had high expectations for the house and the real estate company did its best to meet his requirements, he never moved in after it was completed. Not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't.

In 2016, Mallya was accused of defrauding at least 17 banks of nearly 1 billion pounds. He then fled to the UK and has been living there ever since. Shortly thereafter, he declared bankruptcy.

Although Indian banks have been seeking to recover the unpaid loan amounts through various legal means, including selling assets, clearly all losses cannot be recovered. The Indian government is currently making efforts to extradite Mallya, aged 69, back to India from the UK.

A lawyer representing one of the defrauded banks told reporters that the "Sky White House" was completed before the litigation began, but its ownership can only be decided by the Indian government. Before a decision is made, the property will remain vacant.
