U.S. Company's New System Aids Ukrainian Forces: Satellite Images Delivered to Phones in 15 Minutes, Accelerating Strike Rhythm
According to The Wall Street Journal, Ukrainian drone operators can now directly receive satellite imagery on tablets and smartphones within 15 minutes after a satellite passes overhead.
The report emphasizes that commercial satellite images are reaching individual soldiers nearly in real time, significantly speeding up the kill chain closure and posing a new challenge to Russian forces.
The new system developed by U.S.-based Vantor and its partners has compressed the timeline from reconnaissance to strike by 90%. Combat personnel can track target movements by comparing the latest images with historical archives, and by integrating terrain 3D models, enabling faster and more precise strikes against enemy targets.
