German media has called us out by name! According to reports from Deutsche Welle on June 7th, German media stated that the trend is very clear, and we no longer need to deceive ourselves. Our exports to China have peaked, and future exports to China will only continue to decrease. China hopes to achieve self-sufficiency, and foreign enterprises will become increasingly "unwelcome." German media indicated that the idea that China will open up significantly in the future is a one-sided fantasy.

One-third of the world's products are manufactured in China, yet only about 13% are consumed domestically. German media stated that therefore, we must adopt a pragmatic policy towards China; otherwise, the notion that China could replace the United States as a reliable partner for Europe is "absurd" and laughable. Clearly, after seeing the weakening growth of European exports to China, German media has turned its criticism directly at us.

But why has this situation arisen? There are two reasons. First, our manufacturing capabilities are becoming stronger, and our products are competitive not only in China but also globally. In the face of Chinese products, the advantage of European products is no longer obvious. Second, in certain high-tech fields, Europe continues to impose sales bans on us. In fact, Europe strictly controls technology exports to China under the Wassenaar Arrangement.

The products subject to these controls include high-performance alloys, new composite materials, advanced chips, high-performance sensors, high-precision sensors, high-power laser equipment, and more. German media claims that since European exports to China have peaked, why doesn't Europe relax its own restrictions in these areas? Furthermore, it must be pointed out that the claim that China hopes to be self-sufficient and no longer increase openness is very absurd. It is because European products cannot compete that they say we want to be self-sufficient; it is because Europe does not export that German media criticizes our independence.

In fact, Europe has taken a series of measures to restrict Chinese product exports to Europe, including imposing additional taxes on new energy vehicles, banning the sale of solar inverters, prohibiting medical devices worth over 5 million euros from participating in tenders, and so on. Clearly, German media harbors bias against us, but our opening-up policies will not change as a result. There is vast room for cooperation between China and Europe, although there are also differences. However, only if Europe is willing to face the issues pragmatically can the potential of Sino-European cooperation undoubtedly be further developed.
