Sputnik News, Washington - On December 17, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury issued a general license allowing transactions involving civilian nuclear energy with a series of Russian banks, the Russian Central Bank, and the National Clearing Center.

The license states: "This general license authorizes all transactions prohibited by the President's executive order involving one or more entities related to civilian nuclear energy that can be conducted before 12:01 AM Eastern Daylight Time on June 18, 2026."
