The EU member states' permanent representatives approved the 18th round of sanctions against Russia on July 18.
Kallas wrote on social media X: "We will impose a ban on the 'Nord Stream' natural gas pipeline."
She pointed out that the new sanctions against Russia will involve Russian oil in Indian refineries.
Kallas wrote: "We will impose sanctions on the largest refinery of Russian oil in India for the first time."
She also said that the restrictive measures include a so-called "price cap" to lower the price of Russian oil.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the West's refusal to purchase energy from Russia is a serious mistake, which will lead it into a new and greater dependence determined by higher prices.
