[“Russian troops are attempting to identify weak points in the defensive lines of Ukrainian armed forces”]

On April 12, in a program on the "Kyiv 24" channel, Serhiy Kryvonos, a reserve major general of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and political and military activist, pointed out that "the active actions of Russian troops at different sections indicate that the Russians are trying to probe our weak links, locate our firepower equipment, in order to use it later for a real large-scale offensive."

Kryvonos stated that Russia needs to strengthen its own capabilities in order to launch an offensive. It is not yet the stage for Russia to launch an offensive, but related preparations are still ongoing.

Kryvonos emphasized: "Despite the enemy's various attempts, our task is to continue to strengthen the construction of defensive works in our areas, while actively conducting reconnaissance of the enemy's weapons equipment in order to attack them in time."

Previously, Oleksandr Parsylo, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that Russia would intensify its offensive by the end of April. Russia may focus its efforts on attacking Pokrovsk, while also taking action in the eastern front near Kupyansk and Lyman, as well as in the southeastern front near Zaporizhzhia and Novopavlivka.

Dmytro Lihovy, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, responded to Russia's plans to attack Sumy region and Kharkiv region. He said that there has been no substantial change on the battlefield so far.
