CCTV News reported that on the 24th local time, a Antonov An-24 aircraft carrying 49 people crashed into a hillside 15 kilometers away from Tymy in the Amur region of Russia's Far East.

According to an official from the Russian aviation authority, the crashed aircraft (registration: RA-47315) had been involved in an accident and was damaged in 2018. At that time, the aircraft collided with airport lighting equipment on the left wing while landing and taxiing at an airport in Irkutsk Oblast, causing damage, but no one on board was injured.

Additionally, the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia stated that since 2018, this aircraft has been involved in four aviation incidents. The other three were as follows: In April 2022, the aircraft activated the "proximity warning system" (should be the Traffic Collision Avoidance System); in May 2022, the aircraft returned due to a generator failure; in March 2025, the aircraft requested to return to the parking position due to a failure of a radio equipment system.
