Pakistan has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council due to increasing tensions with India, TASS reported, citing diplomatic sources.

According to Press Trust of India, the New Delhi government suspended water releases from the Baglihar Dam on the Pakistan border today.

Previously, water releases from the Indus River Dam had also been halted.
