According to Reuters on October 22 local time, the Danish presidency of the EU announced that all EU member states have approved the 19th round of sanctions against Russia. The report said that the new round of sanctions against Russia includes a ban on importing Russian liquefied natural gas, travel restrictions on Russian diplomats, and adding 117 ships from Russia's "shadow fleet" to the sanctions list.

EU diplomatic sources also told Reuters that four Russian entities related to China's petroleum industry will be added to the list, but their names will not be released until officially approved on the 23rd. They include two refineries, a trading company, and an entity that helps circumvent oil and other industry restrictions.

The report said that the EU had already coordinated the demands and interests of its members and obtained agreement from all member states on this issue.

The head of the office of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, Andriy Yermak, welcomed the EU's approval of the new round of sanctions against Russia, saying that many of Ukraine's proposals were included. He also said: "But we will not stop. The 20th sanction package is already being prepared. The logic is simple — the less money Russia has, the fewer missiles will hit Ukraine."
