According to CCTV Finance reports, at present, China has built the world's leading technology and largest scale information and communication network. At the World Telecommunication Day event site, relevant officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that further acceleration in the research and development of 5G-A and 6G technologies will be carried out.

The latest data shows that currently, more than 4.395 million 5G base stations have been cumulatively constructed and put into operation in China. 5G applications have integrated into 86 of the 97 major categories of the national economy. Recently, 5G-A networks with higher rates and enhanced performance are gradually being piloted and implemented in various production and living scenarios. Recently, in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, the world's first 5G-A open-pit mine welcomed the centralized deployment of 100 autonomous electric mining trucks. Through the upgraded 5G-A network, the cameras on these unmanned mining trucks can achieve fast transmission of 8K video. Staff members can complete uninterrupted operations for 24 hours by working in the indoor control room.

Recently, in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, some users have found that the signal icon on their phones has changed to 5G-A, allowing them to experience its use without any additional costs. It is understood that the scope of 5G-A pilot cities is gradually expanding, and it is expected to cover key scenes in more than 300 cities across the country within the year.

Compared with 5G, 5G-A can significantly improve in terms of capacity, rate, latency, positioning, reliability, etc., providing faster and higher quality communication experiences, and is expected to achieve low-cost trillion IoT connections.

Compared with 5G, the most intuitive experience of 5G-A is "fast," and it is 10 times faster. The highest data download rate of 5G-A will increase from the initial gigabit of 5G to ten gigabits, which can support the needs of innovative businesses such as extended reality and naked-eye 3D with large bandwidth, low latency, and high probability. The highest data upload rate has also increased from hundreds of megabits to gigabits, capable of supporting the comprehensive upload of massive data to the cloud, the popularization of live streaming, and the symmetrical experience of holographic interaction, etc.
