Japan has also set its sights on Mongolia's resource-rich South Gobi Province: the first direct flight route from Japan to Mongolia's South Gobi Province will be launched.
Mongolnews Agency, Ulaanbaatar, May 20 – According to a reporter from Mongolnews based in South Gobi Province, an international direct flight route from Matsumoto Airport in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, to South Gobi Province, Mongolia, will commence this July.
The flight will be operated by Mongolia’s aviation company "Hunnu Air" using an "Embraer E190-100" aircraft with a total of 97 seats. Both parties believe that the launch of this direct flight route will help increase the number of tourists traveling from Japan to South Gobi Province and holds significant importance for expanding regional tourism and economic cooperation.
Currently, relevant professional institutions, the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia, and the management department of the "Gurvan Saikhan" Airport in South Gobi Province are collaborating to ensure flight safety, passenger services, as well as border and customs control.
