On Wednesday, two giant banners, each roughly three stories tall, were hung above the main entrance of the Department of the Interior headquarters in Washington, featuring portraits of Trump and Washington respectively, accompanied by the slogan "America First." This marks the fourth federal government building in recent times to display a large-scale image of Trump. Each banner stands at least 30 feet in height. These banners continue the practice initiated during Trump’s second term of displaying presidential portraits on the exteriors of government buildings. Over the past year, banners featuring Trump’s portrait with the slogan "Make America Safe Again" were displayed at the Department of Justice building, while the Department of Labor hung a banner showing Trump alongside Roosevelt with the phrase "American Workers First." In May of last year, the Department of Agriculture displayed a banner featuring Trump alongside Lincoln, but it was later removed.
