POLITICO: Baltic States Plan to Procure Air Defense Shelters from Ukraine
The media report states that the Baltic countries are increasingly concerned that large-scale drone attacks could overwhelm their air defense systems. In response, Lithuanian and other Baltic enterprises have begun negotiations with Ukrainian manufacturers, aiming to procure air defense shelters and civil protection facilities.
Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kauša said: “This is a new reality that the Baltic states must confront, and we must take measures accordingly.”
Beyond this, Lithuania’s real estate market and urban infrastructure development are also undergoing changes: today, many basement units are being advertised as emergency shelter spaces usable during wartime.
