TASS Ulaanbaatar, July 3rd - In the Mongolian government's 2024-2028 action plan, it has proposed the goal of implementing 14 major projects, including the phased implementation of cross-border railway construction projects at the Gashuinsukhait-Gangqimaozu, Hangji-Man Dulaa, and Sibekulen-Ceke ports.
Within this framework, last February an agreement on the construction of the Gashuinsukhait-Gangqimaozu cross-border railway between the Mongolian and Chinese governments was signed in Harbin, China. The project's launch ceremony was held in May and it officially started construction.
Under the framework of the Gashuinsukhait to Gangqimaozu cross-border railway project, the Mongolian Railway Group signed a long-term historic agreement with the China National Energy Group for the transportation of coal purchased by the China National Energy Group via railway, and the first batch of coal transportation has already departed from Tavan Tolgoi station.
