According to reports by Japan's Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS), on the evening of June 6 local time, a Chinese tourist was attacked with a knife in Kyoto, Japan. The victim, who is 37 years old, was injured near the right shoulder, and the assailant is still at large.

According to police information, around 8:00 pm local time on June 6, a 37-year-old Chinese man was slashed by a man with a knife on a walking path near Gojo Bridge in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto. After committing the crime, the assailant fled the scene. The victim suffered injuries near the right shoulder and is currently conscious.

It is reported that the injured man is a Chinese tourist. At the time of the incident, he was walking on the path with about 20 members of his tour group. The victim stated that he did not know the assailant and that the conflict arose due to some dispute. The police have launched an investigation into the case as an attempted murder and are fully pursuing the whereabouts of the fleeing man.
