The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia: The United States and Israel Have Created the Worst Global Energy Crisis in 40 Years

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the current situation has seen the worst energy crisis in nearly 40 years. The crisis has been triggered by factors such as global energy transition, competition for energy resources, and conflicts in the Middle East.

At the time when Novak made these remarks, the price of Brent crude oil had risen above $110 per barrel.

Novak pointed out that wars in recent decades have been directly related to controlling energy resources, and the United States has therefore targeted Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, and participated in the conflict in Syria.

Since February 28, the United States and Israel have launched military actions against Iran. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps responded by attacking targets in Israel, as well as in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Tehran has also actively attacked energy facilities in Gulf countries as retaliation.
