U.S. Treasury Secretary: Expected to Collect Over $30 Billion in Import Tariffs by the End of 2025

U.S. Treasury Secretary Biden said on July 8 that it is expected to collect over $30 billion in import tariffs by the end of 2025.

Biden said at a cabinet meeting chaired by U.S. President Trump at the White House about tariff revenue: "We expect this number to exceed $30 billion by the end of this year."

Biden pointed out that so far, Washington has collected approximately $1 billion through tariffs.

On the morning of July 8, after announcing that the temporary suspension period for imposing tariffs on foreign goods would be extended from July 9 to August 1, Trump stated that the United States will continue to send tariff notices to its trade partners, informing them of new tariff rates. Trump pointed out that U.S. trade partners who receive the notice will "not receive any extension."
