The exposure of Qatar's plan to give Trump an airplane may face more obstacles.

A Democratic member of the House is seeking an investigation into reports that the Trump administration plans to accept a jet worth about $400 million from Qatar as Air Force One and as a private plane for President Trump after his term ends. Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) has written to the Government Accountability Office, the acting inspector general of the Department of Defense, and the Office of Government Ethics, requesting an investigation into the matter.

Qatar stated: "The Qatar Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense are currently considering the possibility of transferring an aircraft temporarily for use as Air Force One, but this matter is still under review by their respective legal departments, and no decision has been made."
