Foreign media: China and Thailand have recently reached a consensus on deepening scientific and technological innovation cooperation, pledging to strengthen policy alignment and expand exchanges in relevant fields. The joint statement particularly emphasizes the vision of building a "prosperous shared future" for the two countries. The statement was released on the evening of July 20, following the conclusion of Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's five-day visit to China.
The statement indicates that both sides will engage in deeper cooperation in multiple fields, including healthcare, geospatial information, agricultural science and technology, advanced materials, artificial intelligence, advanced electronic devices, automobiles, aerospace, and clean energy. Both parties also agreed to strengthen collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutions to consolidate and enhance their respective supply chain systems.
Under the goal of "common prosperity," the construction of the China-Thai high-speed railway is one of the key projects being actively promoted. The Thai side has indicated its intention to complete a 250-kilometer section by 2030.
