The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation intercepted a batch of Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopter parts being smuggled to Ukraine. The value of these parts exceeds 400 million rubles, and they are sufficient to restore at least four helicopters to flying condition.

The smuggling gang consists of six people from Russia, Ukraine, and the Middle East. They are organized and coordinated by a female intelligence agent based overseas. They mainly control some commercial institutions in Russia to order helicopter parts, then smuggle them out of the country and transport them to Ukraine.
