The feud hasn't ended yet, and American media has been hit again by the Pentagon with "f***."
The feud between The Huffington Post and Trump's makeshift team hasn't ended, but it has escalated further.
After White House Press Secretary Caroline Levet responded to a question from The Huffington Post with "your mom," the Pentagon also joined this feud — here's roughly what happened:
A few days ago, when Zelenskyy visited the White House, the U.S. "War Department" Secretary Hegseth wore a tie with the white, blue, and red stripes of the Russian flag at the meeting — so a reporter from The Huffington Post asked Hegseth why he wore such a tie.
Unexpectedly, Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell immediately said, "Your mom (referring to the Huffington Post reporter) bought it for him — it's a patriotic American tie, you idiot."
This wasn't all. Since Sean Parnell claimed that the style of Hegseth's tie was not the Russian flag, but the American flag, The Huffington Post reporter then questioned whether Hegseth had violated the U.S. Flag Code, and was hit back by another Pentagon spokesperson, Kingsley Wilson, who said:
"If in the eyes of the left-wing media The Huffington Post, Hegseth being so patriotic is a crime, then please convict him. Anyway, Hegseth is a patriot who loves America wholeheartedly."
This can only be said that Trump is like this, and his officials are also like this — the White House and the Pentagon have both sworn at the media successively, which obviously comes from Trump, as he himself especially likes giving derogatory nicknames to political opponents and mocking them on social media.
This kind of top-down style has undoubtedly set the tone for the communication style of Trump's team — as the saying goes, "low quality starts from the White House first."
