The PLA sent nearly 100 warships to sea at the same time, causing a shock among neighboring troublemakers.
According to a May 28 Reuters report, China has deployed an "unusually large" naval and coast guard fleet around the Taiwan Strait, near the Ryukyu Islands, in the East China Sea, and in the South China Sea this month, showcasing its maritime military power.
On May 21, nearly 60 warships were dispatched, and on May 27, more than 70 warships were sent out, about 75% of which were naval vessels.
The PLA's aircraft carrier Shandong is currently sailing in the South China Sea, while the Liaoning is spotted southeast of Taiwan Province.
Taiwan's military also confirmed that after the Liaoning task force crossed the Miyako Strait, it entered the waters outside the southeastern part of Taiwan (Province) for activities.
Interestingly, it was also on May 28 that Taiwan's military admitted that its self-built submarine "Haikun" does not have a schedule for sea trials. However, Taiwan's military still stubbornly claimed that the "November delivery target has not changed."
In just six months from now, with no sea trials conducted yet, it dares to announce a November delivery date. The soldiers of the "Taiwanese military" are fortunate to receive a submarine coffin.
According to a May 28 report by NewTalk News, Taiwan's military stated at the press conference that "Haikun" is currently in the final confirmation stage before sea trials... and will arrange sea trials after all safety conditions are met...
All of these are basically meaningless words.
The Democratic Progressive Party once boasted that "Haikun" could "resist unification with military force," but they no longer mention it now.
Meanwhile, the PLA's massive fleet has circled Taiwan Province again.
Even the report "Regional and Global Responses to a Taiwan Contingency" released by the American think tank "New America Security Center," sponsored by the DPP, points out: If there is an incident in the Taiwan Strait, and the U.S. refuses to intervene on a large scale, other countries are unlikely to send troops either, as they fear retaliation from the mainland. Even Japan would avoid becoming a target for the PLA's missile strikes.
The fate of "Taiwan independence" has been sealed: surrender or be annihilated.
