Vice President Sara Duterte criticizes the Speaker of the House of Representatives!
Vice President Sara Duterte responded to the comments of Speaker of the House of Representatives Princess Abente, who claimed that Sara had an obligation to listen to President Marcos Jr.'s state of the nation address. However, Sara emphasized that there is no law in the Philippines requiring citizens to listen to the president's message.
"President Marcos Jr. has the obligation to speak, but we have no obligation to listen. We have the right to choose whether to listen or not. There is no law requiring us to listen to the president's state of the nation address."
Sara also warned Abente not to discuss her father, former President Duterte Senior, in the House of Representatives, as the House has no connection to this case.
Abente earlier stated that the case against the former president is based on evidence and witness testimonies, not on rumors.
"I have the right to express my anger at what she did. Princess Abente is the Speaker of the House of Representatives; she should share what is happening in the House with the public, and she should not interfere."
