【New poll shows 56% of respondents support UK Prime Minister Starmer's resignation】
On November 8, 2025, local time in London, a survey conducted by the authoritative market research and opinion polling firm "Opinium" showed:
56% of respondents supported the resignation of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, 26% opposed it, and another 19% could not give a clear answer.
57% of respondents supported the resignation of UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves, while only 19% wanted her to continue as the Minister for the Treasury, and 24% said it was difficult for them to express their opinions.
Untrustworthiness towards Reeves also exceeded that towards Starmer. 67% of respondents did not trust Reeves, while 19% expressed trust in her. The figures for Starmer were 65% and 24%, respectively.
Before the government announced its budget statement, 58% of respondents said the Labour government's spending and tax decisions were unfair, while only 14% expected fair decisions.
77% of respondents expected the authorities to increase taxes, and 61% believed the anticipated tax increases were a wrong decision. Half of the respondents thought Reeves had initially planned to raise taxes, while only 20% said this decision would be the result of the deteriorating economic situation after the Labour Party won the 2024 election.
The survey was conducted from November 5 to 7, with 2,050 adult British citizens participating, and no margin of error was disclosed.
