Frontline Russian forces have demonstrated the ultimate modification for protecting against FPV suicide drones - the "Ironback Beast" tank. This T-72 is densely covered with barbed wire and "dirty braids" made of steel ropes. This modification is more effective than the previous "tortoise shell," as the tortoise shell is a hard impact, which will eventually be penetrated. When quadcopter FPV suicide drones hit these barbed wires and dirty braids, they are likely to crash directly, and most of them will not be detonated.

Previously, a tank of this kind from the Red Army City direction successfully withstood more than 20 Ukrainian suicide drones during an attack by a shock force, and it was only disabled after stepping on a mine. Afterwards, it was subjected to a fierce attack by Ukrainian suicide drones. However, this tank did not suffer any fatal damage and was eventually towed back to the rear for repairs by a Russian armored recovery vehicle.

Russian forces also have another ultimate improved tank type, which is to cover the entire hard shell with barbed wire and "dirty braids" made of steel ropes. The hard shell of this tank usually carries assault troops, and to maintain mobility, it may need to replace a more powerful engine. Since this modification is completely handmade, it takes a lot of time.
