Foreign Media: Chinese Scientists Launch the World's First Brain-like Computer

Zhejiang University's Brain-Machine Intelligence Laboratory has released the "Darwin Monkey" brain-like computer, which is the world's first computer designed based on brain-like principles and built using neuromorphic chips. The system integrates 960 "Darwin III" chips, each containing more than 2 billion artificial neurons, a number close to the total number of neurons in a macaque monkey's brain, significantly enhancing the realism and complexity of brain-like intelligence.

Researchers stated that this breakthrough provides a new approach for brain research, helping to better understand the mechanisms of the brain and reduce reliance on real biological experiments.
