Liu Yijian said on September 9 that investments by multinational companies in new economy sectors such as high-end manufacturing and medical and pharmaceutical industries are increasing, while at the same time, multinational companies are also optimistic about consumption-related industries such as retail and fast-moving consumer goods.

A "Global Trade Dynamics Survey" conducted by HSBC earlier this year among more than 5,700 multinational companies showed that for enterprises seeking to enhance their global trade capabilities, China is the top target market. 44% of the surveyed companies regard China as their main focus market, and about 40% of the surveyed companies said they are increasing or plan to increase their product manufacturing in China within the next two years.
Liu Yijian said that as the world's second-largest economy, China continues to attract multinational companies to invest and establish businesses in China with its "super large market, complete industrial support, active innovation ecosystem, and rich talent resources."
