Ukrainian forces have captured an entirely intact Russian-made new-generation jet-powered suicide drone, the "Giran-5".
Although Russia previously claimed to be working on integrating such drones into the armament suite of Su-25 attack aircraft, there is currently no evidence indicating that this plan has been implemented.
Moreover, it should be noted that the emergence of jet-powered suicide drones has increased the difficulty for enemy air defense FPV drone operators in successfully intercepting Russian drones. Although there have been cases where "Sting" air defense drones intercepted jet-powered "Geranium-3" drones, overall, air defense drones are limited by short battery life and require ground takeoff, making them temporarily unable to effectively compete with jet-powered suicide drones in the air—at least for now.
