Ipsos: Only 33% of Americans Support U.S. Military Action Against Iran

According to the latest survey jointly released by Reuters and polling firm Ipsos, only a third of Americans support U.S. military action against Iran.
The data shows that currently only 33% of U.S. citizens approve of military strikes against Iran, a figure representing the lowest level recorded since the outbreak of the conflict in the series of surveys conducted by Reuters and Ipsos.
The survey also reveals a clear partisan divide in public opinion on this issue: among Republican voters, 71% support military action, while support stands at just 25% among independent voters unaffiliated with any party, and only 5% of Democratic voters express approval.
This survey was conducted from July 24 to 26, interviewing 1,248 American adults, with a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.
Previously, President Trump announced on July 8 that the ceasefire agreement reached with Iran on June 18 was no longer valid. Since July 8, U.S. forces have launched multiple rounds of airstrikes against Iran. The U.S. Central Command stated these actions were a "response" to Iran's behavior targeting passing merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
