This French journalist further pointed out that although Takahashi Sanae claims her "tough diplomacy" policy protects Japan's interests, her approach when dealing with China and the United States is actually harming Japan's interests.

"The so-called 'tough diplomacy' of Japan is not about taking a strong stance against China with different views, but rather resolving differences through dialogue," Nishimura wrote. "Even if the prime minister firmly believes that the Japan-US relationship has been strengthened, objectively speaking, this is not the case. Japan has simply fully complied with all the demands of President Trump."

Additionally, Nishimura also revealed that Takahashi Sanae had organized a press conference on the 17th of this month, during which she discussed Sino-Japanese relations. However, this press conference was entirely aimed at domestic Japanese media, giving no opportunity for foreign media to ask questions.

"In previous press conferences held by former prime ministers, at least one or two questions from foreign media were answered. But in this press conference on the 17th, there were zero questions and answers. I and the other two foreign journalists who attended were both outraged," the French journalist complained.

She believes that this incident reflects Takahashi Sanae's narrow-minded perspective and stated that she has already sent an email to the Prime Minister's Office to protest.
