French expert: Holding onto Harg Island is absolutely impossible — this would be a suicide mission. Cuban Energy Minister: Thanks to Russia for assistance amid severe energy crisis
Philippe Mire, French economist and politician, commented on the idea of deploying ground forces to the island of Harg, stating it would be a suicidal mission, with American soldiers becoming living targets for Iran.
He told TASS that even if the U.S. and Israel managed to land troops on the island, "they would become targets for Iran and be eliminated."
Mire said: "They would not be able to receive supplies, as transporting them by ship would be extremely difficult."
Mire believes the U.S. military primarily uses aircraft to launch missiles, and has not deployed B-52 bombers. Sending B-52s into Iranian airspace remains too dangerous.
Cuban Minister of Energy and Mines Vicente de la O Leve stated that Cuba thanks Russia for the assistance provided during the severe energy situation.
De la O Leve wrote on the social media platform X: "We thank the Russian government and people for all their support, especially for the valuable supplies delivered during our challenging energy circumstances."
On March 30, the Russian Ministry of Transport announced that the Russian oil tanker "Anatoly Kolodkin," carrying 100,000 tons of humanitarian aid crude oil, had arrived in Cuba.
