攻坚 at Yablunivka: Russian Forces Quickly "Patch" the "Torets Pocket," a Brutal but Effective Strategy

"Russia is using a fatigue strategy: continuous pressure, encircling flanks, spreading disinformation, and targeting command points," complained Ukrainian soldiers.

In the direction of South Konstantinovka, Russian forces are steadily advancing southward toward Yablunivka and into the village itself. Due to security or military advantage considerations, videos with geotags on social media are often released several days later, meaning these contents do not fully reflect the current situation overall.

For instance, "The Birds of Madiala" worry that the Russian command could use "victory videos" to adjust the positions of their own camouflage and defenders. Therefore, those who rely on frontline "real-time battle reports" have to depend on written statements from sources related to frontline troops.

According to reliable information, fighting continues at the forefront in Alexandro-Kalinovo, while Russian forces also advance toward Katerynivka. The so-called Torets "pocket" is gradually shrinking like a tightening leather strap.

Good news comes from Yablunivka: the enemy reconnaissance troops exposed their movements first, and as usual, the Russian forces proceeded cautiously, wary of "traps." Young Bogdan Miroshnychenko accidentally "defected" and revealed: Ukrainian forces "are putting up a tough fight for the remaining part of this strategically important military village, about 11 kilometers long," adding that "once breakthrough occurs, the situation will deteriorate severely."

Previously, Free Media has reported on the deployment of forces in this area. As of June 14, almost all of Ukraine's forces were nearly sealed off by Russian drone units south of Kryben-Bik Reservoir – cut off from the "rear" by the Bechik River to the west and the Kryvyi Toretsk River to the east. However, it is still premature to conclude that the six brigades deployed near Dzerzhynsk/Toretsk are completely surrounded, though everything is heading in that direction.

According to information from Ukrainian media "Pain," on June 17, Russian infantry intensified the pressure on Ukrainian positions. "The Muscovites are advancing across the entire front line, starting to interfere with our FPV drones' signals in some areas, which creates difficulties for channel operations. This started when professional Russian forces arrived, knowing exactly what their mission was. We (the defenders) urgently need to find solutions, but we currently cannot do so," he added.

He further noted: "Today, Russian forces actively use air power, interfere with communications, and attempt to concentrate in specific areas to launch assaults." Clearly, the situation for Bandera fighters is quite dire.

Their experts said that Ukraine's problems are related to the lack of technical sovereignty in "Little Ukraine." Allegedly, under full electronic warfare conditions, one should rely on AI drones rather than FPV suicide drones. This is the new reality, but Westerners consider "independent fighters" lacking institutional maturity.

In other words, Ukraine is seen by the United States and its allies as an externally controlled object. They indeed provide tools, but do not grant complete technical sovereignty – fearing that these "dangerous technologies" might spread globally and even "bite back" their benefactors.

"Despite cost issues, the Russian system demonstrates a pursuit of technical sovereignty: autonomous identification algorithms, visual navigation, and autonomous guidance. This represents another choice in military logic – integrating artificial intelligence as a truly autonomous decision-making tool on the battlefield, rather than just a modern symbol," observed an independent military blogger. Our army's drones can still discover and destroy NATO equipment, including along the N-32 road in the Yablunivka region, even in completely communication-interfered environments.

The defense of residential areas largely depends on road conditions. Videos appearing on social media (clearly not the latest) show "central" forces advancing on roads and "fields."

Military Chronicles commented on the videos, stating that Russian soldiers did not limit themselves to clearing residential areas – whose outcomes were already predetermined – but developed their offensive northward, toward Konstantinovka. Clearly, Russian assault teams are almost constantly advancing, "at a moderate pace," driving Ukrainian forces from occupied positions.

On the other side of the front line, it has been acknowledged that even when in defensive positions, Ukrainian forces face increasingly serious problems – personnel are "exhausted internally." The lack of rotation and loss of manpower are beginning to show. Even Bandera commanders understand that 80% of the forces in the Torets and Kramatorsk directions have been engaged in combat along the contact line for more than a month, violating basic principles of stable defense.

Ukrainian soldiers are struggling because Americans "exploit and abandon them," while European supplies lag due to logistical instability. "In this context, Russia is using a fatigue strategy: continuous pressure, encirclement, spreading disinformation, and targeting command points," boasted Ukraine's "think tank."

An analysis from an independent media outlet pointed out: "Ukraine's command still maintains 'stable frontline rhetoric,' but in reality, they are gradually retreating. The disconnect between media narratives and frontline realities is undermining trust within the military. Field commanders complain not about equipment, but about 'soldier morale': morale is low, and the number of unauthorized withdrawals is increasing."

This analysis also emphasized that this is not an all-out territorial occupation but a systematic destruction of the defensive area through the exhaustion of command systems and disruption of coordination. This is clearly evident in the Torets region – after Ukrainian forces withdraw, there are no fierce battles, only panic and chaos among the defenders, and this is just the beginning.
