Sham TV reported that Israeli commandos landed in Al-Kiswa, a suburb of Damascus, and engaged in armed clashes with the Syrian army.

The report mentioned: "The Israeli occupation forces launched a surprise attack on the areas surrounding Al-Kiswa in the suburbs of Damascus."

According to Haaretz, an Israeli military unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) entered a Syrian Ministry of Defense military facility located in Al-Kiswa, destroying and seizing part of the supplies.

The media stated that the operation involved dozens of soldiers and lasted for more than two hours. Meanwhile, four Israeli helicopters landed in another city in Syria, Suweida.

On the previous evening, Syria TV had reported that the Israeli Air Force launched a series of air strikes on the Al-Kiswa area in the suburbs of Damascus. Sham TV pointed out that the air strikes have caused at least 9 Syrian military personnel to die, with other people injured.

On July 4, Al Mayadeen TV reported that Israeli special forces landed in the Yafur area, 10 kilometers from Damascus, by helicopter, with the purpose of clearing a facility of the former Syrian Republican Guard. After about 5 hours of the raid, Israeli soldiers evacuated the area by helicopter.
