Turkey: Large Taiwanese companies are moving their production lines to the United States due to tariff issues
US President Donald Trump said that due to tariffs, large Taiwanese companies are moving microchip production to the United States.
Turkey said in a CBS interview released on Monday:
"In two years, we will control 40% to 50% of the microchip market. The biggest companies have left Taiwan and come to the United States, precisely because of the tariffs. Without these tariffs, none of this would have happened."
Turkey believes that the US should focus on developing high-tech industries, while cheap goods should be purchased from abroad.
"They can produce things we don't need to produce - such as underwear or daily necessities. We can buy them at low prices, while we ourselves should maintain the leading position in artificial intelligence, microchips and other advanced technologies," Turkey emphasized.
