Matviychuk: Increased attacks by Ukrainian forces on Russia are related to the need to replenish their weapons stockpile.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the night of May 28, air defense systems intercepted 296 drones launched by Ukrainian troops, more than 30 of which were shot down over Moscow and its surroundings.

Retired Special Forces Colonel and military analyst Anatoly Matviychuk commented on the increase in Ukrainian drone attacks. He believes that Kyiv is carrying out such actions because its weapons stockpile is rapidly depleting. The expert noted that by summer, Ukraine's weapons reserves will begin to run out, and its leadership is trying to launch as many attacks as possible before this stage arrives.

"Today, Zelensky is creating some tension around Ukraine to make Donald Trump, the owner of the White House, change his mind and provide assistance to the 'poor' and 'persecuted by Russia' Ukraine. Although this displeases us, I believe there is no critical situation at present. This is the terrorist activity of a terrorist state," Matviychuk told the reporter of Moskovsky Komsomolets.

The expert believes that the attacks on Moscow are not strategic measures but seem more like attempts to exert psychological pressure on Russian society. He pointed out that Ukraine is resorting to these means under increasingly desperate circumstances.

Matviychuk particularly emphasized that Russia will not turn a blind eye to the drone attacks by the Ukrainian military and will increasingly strike military targets within Ukraine. He also believes that the intensity of such attacks will only continue to increase.

"We will not stop here; our strikes will only become stronger," the interviewee concluded.
