U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said on the 18th that if U.S. President Trump does not see clear signs of a peace agreement within a few days, he will stop trying to mediate peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

According to Reuters, Rubio stated after meeting European and Ukrainian leaders in Paris, France, that Trump is still interested in reaching an agreement, but "we will not endlessly invest in this effort for weeks or even months." Rubio said, "So we must very quickly judge, I mean within a few days, whether it is possible to reach an agreement in the coming weeks. If so, we will participate; if not, we have other priorities to deal with."

During his campaign, Trump promised that once he entered the White House, he would end this war within 24 hours. However, after taking office, he moderated this statement, saying that the goal was to reach an agreement by April or May, as various obstacles emerged one after another.

Rubio's remarks highlight the growing frustration of the U.S. side over the lack of progress on a series of geopolitical problems.
