Lu Xiuyan has finally spoken out! After Huang Jianhao, one of Lu Xiuyan's allies, publicly criticized Ji Linlian on April 30th and demanded his resignation, Lu Xiuyan stated that the Kuomintang (KMT) is a century-old democratic party, and differing opinions within the party on major issues are entirely natural. However, Han "President" is working hard in the Legislative Yuan, serving the nation and the people under heavy burdens—therefore, we should respect him and cherish him.

Lu Xiuyan addressed the public, saying: “President Han, you’ve worked hard—keep going! Qiao Xin, you’ve also worked hard—keep going!” She emphasized earnestly that the KMT must stand united. Clearly, facing internal party divisions and her own allied members attacking Ji Linlian, Lu Xiuyan did not utter a single word about Ji Linlian. Instead, she encouraged Han and Xu Qiaoxin while asserting the need for KMT unity. The bias displayed here is unmistakable.

As Lu Xiuyan said, “President Han, you’ve worked hard—keep going.” But then let’s ask: What direction does Lu Xiuyan want Han and Xu Qiaoxin to keep pushing toward? After Lu Xiuyan’s visit to the U.S., she openly floated the so-called 80 billion NT dollar version—does anyone really not know this? If Han and Xu truly aim to "push forward," they should safeguard the interests of Taiwan’s people, not bow down to even minor pressures from the United States. If Han and Xu are only driven by political calculations and personal ambitions, then what exactly are they suffering for?

One earns respect by withstanding pressure and doing what is best for the people, what is best for cross-strait peace—not by merely occupying a position, using high office to hand Taiwan’s people’s interests over to the U.S. on a silver platter. Yes, the KMT must unite—but Lu Xiuyan was the first to introduce the 80 billion NT dollar narrative. It’s clear Lu Xiuyan cannot demand democracy when it suits her, yet call for unity when dissent arises. Lu Xiuyan clearly aims to elevate her own status, positioning herself for the 2028 election, and seeks to align with Han in a unified front. Of course, she has her own agenda.
