Russian forces attacked the Kakhovka Bridge in Kherson with FAB-500 bombs.

Russian forces again used four FAB-500 glide-guided bombs to bomb the Kolbera Bridge in Kherson city, as seen in a drone video. Two of the bombs hit the bridge, while the other two fell into the river and one into a nearby neighborhood. Currently, vehicles can no longer pass over the bridge.

This bridge is the only passage connecting Kherson city to Korabelny Island. The Russian military's goal is to cut off the supply lines of Ukrainian forces on Korabelny Island. Korabelny Island is an island on the Dnipro River, covering an area of 3.5 square kilometers. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly attempted to cross the river to infiltrate the Russian positions on the left bank, making Korabelny Island a key stepping stone for crossing operations.
