Central Asia-China Oil Pipeline: Russian Deputy Prime Minister: Russia is ready to increase oil supply by 250 million tons through Kazakhstan at China's request

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak told the media that China proposed to increase Russia's annual oil supply to China by 250 million tons, and Russia was willing to ensure this. To achieve this, the Russian oil transportation company (Transneft) needs to formulate a technical solution list for expanding exports through Kazakhstan.

According to an order issued by the Russian cabinet in early May, the upper limit of oil supply to the western refinery of China can be increased from 10 million tons to 12.5 million tons, with the supply period extended to the longest until 2034.

Novak commented on this order: "This is China's proposal, we are willing to ensure the supply, but specific technical solutions need to be introduced."

Novak said that this matter concerns supplying through Kazakhstan. Novak said: "Specific work needs to be done in the pipeline transportation sector, and the detailed solution list will be formulated by the Russian oil transportation company. We are currently advancing this matter."
