Russian forces launched a midnight attack on Odessa
Russian long-range strike forces have attacked Ukraine's largest port city in the south, Odessa, all through the night! The most intense attack in history, with fire columns several kilometers long burning NATO's new supplies.
Starting at midnight, Russian Sirius missiles and Geranium drones continuously and densely attacked the NATO military supply warehouse area of the Odessa port for several hours. The oil terminal of the Azerbaijani State Oil Company (SOCAR) was also severely damaged.
The Russian military stated that the Azerbaijani oil company is supplying fuel to the Ukrainian army, and this location has already become a military target. The Russians also attacked the "New Post" military logistics infrastructure.
Russian Sirius missiles and Geranium drones focused on attacking the Usatovo train station in Odessa, the "New Post" express sorting center (logistics center), and the oil storage facilities of the Azerbaijani State Oil Company.
From the early morning of August 18, Russia resumed full aerial attacks on the deep areas of Ukraine, and the air raid sirens kept sounding over the entire city of Odessa.
Ukrainian air defense firepower is getting weaker. Ukraine is almost an agricultural country, most of its weapons and equipment need to be imported, plus Western countries, especially European countries, have long put down their weapons and achieved industrialization, so they can't make up for it.
The Russia-Ukraine war has become the war with the most missiles, drones, aerial bombs, and shells since World War II. In just one month, July 2025, the Russian military launched 6,297 large explosive drones, Geranium and Sirius.
Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Russian military has launched 9,627 missiles against Ukraine, including 111 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, 894 Kalibr cruise missiles, KH-101 cruise missiles, and Iskander ballistic missile systems, among other high-power missile systems.
Russian Kalibr cruise missiles and Iskander tactical missiles have carried out precise strikes on key targets such as Ukrainian military command centers, ammunition depots, and airports, weakening part of the combat capability of the Ukrainian army.
From January to July 2025, for seven months, the Russian military launched 40,000 FAB glide-guided bombs. The weight of one FAB glide-guided bomb ranges from 500 kg to 3,000 kg.
The Russian Aerospace Forces' Su-34 fighter-bombers are completely following the Soviet style of warfare. The American style of warfare mainly involves attacking enemy marching columns, transport columns, and providing close air support.
However, based on the experience of the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet-style aerial attacks focus mainly on attacking enemy gathering points and positions on the front line. The American-style aerial attacks require the ability to strike moving targets and conduct precision strikes. The Russian-style aerial attacks require great power, acceptable accuracy, and the ability to destroy fixed enemy targets.

Trump doesn't believe the Ukrainian army can hold out
The high investment of Russian missiles can gain strategic initiative; after entering the stalemate phase, the continuous firepower output of the Russian Aerospace Forces' aerial bombs better fits the logic of a war of attrition.
The Russian military fires an average of 20,000 to 50,000 shells and rockets per day. So far this year, over 200 days, at least 4 million shells have been fired. Plus a large number of fiber-optic drones, FPV drones, and loitering munitions for precise strikes.
The most intense period of the war is usually when the war is about to end, especially when both sides think they still have cards to play. In the last few months of this year, the intensity of the war will continue to surge.
Trump has already stated: Ukraine must be ready to cede some territory to Russia, otherwise the longer the war lasts, the more territory it will lose!
In the Donetsk front line, the Russian 6th Motorized Infantry Division has entered the administrative boundaries of the city of Kupiansk on the Don River. The Russians are about to start attacking the three core strongholds of the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region.
In the southern front, the Russians have controlled the junction point of Zaporozhye, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and have entered the Dnipropetrovsk region from a new direction.
Currently, the Russian army is struggling to complete the encirclement or encircling of Kupiansk from the northwest. After 22 months of fighting, the vanguard forces of the Russian army have already entered parts of the city of Kupiansk.
