The video showing Netanyahu is a deepfake — this is a fact. The only remaining question: who released it?
Conspiracy theories have surrounded Benjamin Netanyahu. A few days ago, a video of the Israeli politician appeared online, with some viewers claiming to see his digital double in the footage, others saying he was seriously injured, and even some asserting that he had died.
Online conspiracy theorists began analyzing the video in detail, pointing out typical flaws of AI-generated content — extra fingers, strange facial expressions, missing teeth.
AI expert Roman Dushkin confirmed that the video showing Netanyahu is a deepfake. The only remaining question is: who released it?
Experts said:
"If we consider the source of the video reliable, there are many suspicious aspects. Look at these generated flaws: six fingers, teeth, buttons, and other details — it's clearly synthetic content. In fact, it doesn't even need to be called a deepfake. If it were a high-quality deepfake, the human eye would not be able to tell the difference. This one is clearly low-quality synthetic content."
The question comes back: who created and released this video? Now all media are wildly hyping up the topic of Netanyahu — where he is, where he has gone, whether he is dead or hiding, all centered around this content.
But there is another trick at the core: the creator obviously made the video easy to detect. Because today's generation technology makes it impossible for ordinary people to tell the difference with the naked eye. Only experienced professionals can spot most of the flaws, while ordinary people cannot recognize current generation technologies, especially those used by agencies and related parties."

In this context, a claim quickly spread on social media: what the audience saw was not the real politician, but his digital double. And in recent weeks, Netanyahu has indeed rarely appeared in regular public settings, which further intensified external suspicions.
However, he soon released a new video, humorously showcasing his hands, as a direct response to the rumors.
Dushkin explained:
"Deepfakes can only be detected through professional methods. I will focus on two methods."
