The account posted its first English post: "Witness history, we are here. Hello everyone! The official account of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China has gone online today. We will use this platform to share stories about China and the Chinese military."

The post was accompanied by a video lasting about one minute, showing scenes of Chinese military exercises, carrying out overseas missions, and participating in domestic emergency relief efforts. The English introduction of the video states: "Peace is the common wish and noble goal of humanity. The Chinese military has always been a firm force in maintaining world peace."
