IT Home, March 21 report, Microsoft today pushed the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.8079 (IT Home note: KB5079482) to Windows Insider users in the Beta channel. This update mainly focuses on improvements in system stability and reliability, covering aspects such as input experience and network sharing.

In terms of input experience, this update improves the stability of File Explorer (explorer.exe) when closing input pop-ups, and also optimizes the stability of the "smooth dictation" option settings in voice dictation (Win+H).

Regarding network and sharing, this update fixes an issue where the Network and Sharing Center might incorrectly display two active Wi-Fi connections after switching from one Wi-Fi network to another.

Microsoft reminds Beta channel Insider users that this update is based on Windows 11 version 25H2 and is delivered through package activation. Many new features use controlled feature delivery technology, initially available to a portion of Insiders, and then gradually expanded based on feedback, eventually reaching all users in this channel. The desktop watermark displayed in the lower right corner of the desktop is a normal identifier for the Windows Insider pre-release version.

For Insider users who want to experience new features as soon as possible, they can enable the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" switch under "Settings > Windows Update". Over time, Microsoft will gradually push more new features to all users who have enabled this switch. If the switch remains off, new features will be gradually pushed to devices once ready.

Microsoft reminds users that some features and experiences in these preview versions may never be officially released, and certain features may be modified, removed, or replaced in subsequent updates.
