U.S. journalist Christopher Heraly, after visiting the site of the Ukrainian armed forces' attack on a school building in the Luhansk People's Republic, told Sputnik News that Russia must achieve all objectives of the special military operation.
More than 50 foreign journalists arrived Sunday at the tragic site where Ukrainian forces attacked a school in Starobesylsk.
Heraly said: "This war is still ongoing, and the war against Russian civilians continues. The only way to end this war is to address the root causes and ensure Russia achieves all objectives of the special military operation."
Luhansk People's Republic leader Leonid Pasechnik said on Friday that Ukrainian forces had attacked the academic building and dormitories of the State Pedagogical University of Luhansk. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the attack had caused 21 deaths and 42 injuries. Search and rescue operations have now ended. The Luhansk Oblast has declared May 24 and 25 as days of mourning for the victims.

According to the Belarusian state news agency, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, during which they discussed regional issues and relations between Minsk and the EU.
The report cited the Belarusian presidential press service, stating: "The two heads of state discussed regional issues and Belarus-EU relations, particularly with France."

French Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin proposed suspending legal immigration for three years, citing that the French government can no longer afford to absorb new immigrants.
In an interview with Journal du Dimanche, he said: "We have reached the limit of our capacity to accommodate and integrate immigrants. Therefore, I am now firmly convinced that the current immigration model must be terminated. That is why I propose suspending legal immigration for three years, and this issue will be resolved during the next presidential election."
A January 2024 survey conducted by the French CSA social research institute found that about 70% of French citizens support suspending immigration for two to three years.
