Mongolian Politics: Bat-Erdeni Enkhbayar Appointed as a Government Member and Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs
Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, October 27 - Within the scope of powers stipulated by the Constitution of Mongolia and the Government Law, Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar signed an order on the 24th of this month, appointing National Great Khural member Bat-Erdeni Enkhbayar as a government member and Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs.
Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar said, "According to Article 38.2 of the Constitution of Mongolia, the government exercises basic powers such as abiding by national laws, protecting human rights and freedoms, maintaining social order, and combating crime. These are the main responsibilities of the judicial and internal affairs department, which is the core of the state. Our government's primary goal is to combat corruption, improper conduct by officials, coal theft, and violations of human rights that have a negative impact on the development of Mongolia and have betrayed the people's trust."
Bat-Erdeni Enkhbayar is a professional lawyer, policy maker, and young politician with over 20 years of experience in the legal field. During his tenure as Deputy Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs from 2016 to 2018 and as Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs from 2023 to 2024, he made significant progress in promoting fairness and justice and reforming anti-corruption laws.
