Foreign media: Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers have shown strong ambitions for expansion in Europe at the IAA Mobility auto show held in Munich, Germany.

Xiaopeng Motors plans to launch its Mona series, priced at around $17,000, in Europe next year. GAC Group plans to increase its European sales to at least 50,000 units by 2027 and will introduce two electric vehicles, the Aion V and Aion UT.

Although Chinese automakers have a small market share in Europe, their presence has nearly doubled. They take advantage of high cost-effectiveness, advanced battery technology, and production scale, positioning their vehicles as tech products equipped with large screens, voice assistants, and other smart features, even including special configurations such as refrigerators and massage seats.

Although traditional European automakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen also showcased new technologies and electric models at the auto show, some opinions suggest that their transformation is not as fast as that of Chinese automakers.
