The FBI Director Kash Patel has recently been in turmoil. According to an investigation disclosed by Patel to the Florida Bar Association, this gentleman was arrested twice—once for "public intoxication" and once for "urinating in public."
The incident of public urination occurred after drinking alcohol.
According to The Atlantic, Patel once panicked and "broke down," fearing he would be locked out of the computer system and fired by the White House—only to find it was just a minor technical glitch.
Patel himself denies the recent allegations of drinking and has filed a defamation lawsuit against the relevant media outlets.
He refutes reports claiming he was absent from duty due to drinking: "I was always on duty—I’m the first to arrive and the last to leave. The number of days I’ve worked is double that of any previous director. Since taking office, I’ve taken only 17 days of vacation—half as much as Directors Comey and Ra, and I’ve spent twice as much time in the office as either of them. It’s not true that I spend more time at nightclubs than other directors."
White House Press Secretary Levitt, in her final press briefing before going on maternity leave, said Trump still has confidence in him.
This Patel fellow, born in 1980 in New York, has already risen to the rank of a full ministerial-level director. His parents are Gujarati Indians. Patel has practiced Hinduism since childhood and claims to have maintained a "very deep" connection with India throughout his life.
