South Korean media: 75% of Americans believe that Trump's tariffs will drive up prices!
On April 14, South Korean newspaper *Daily News* published an article stating that reportedly, about three-fourths of American citizens are concerned about inflation (rising prices).
Polling agency YouGov recently stated that 75% of respondents expect President Trump's tariff policies to impact price increases. This survey was conducted from April 8 to 11 among 2,410 Americans, with a margin of error of ±2.4 percentage points.
20% of respondents said "don't know," and 5% said prices would stabilize. Additionally, when asked "Do you think prices will fall in the long run?" only 30% responded "yes," while 48% responded "no."
51% of people expressed "support" for President Donald Trump's tariff policies, but 63% of those who supported it said "there are problems with the approach." Particularly, 65% of respondents said the tariff policy will have a "negative impact" on the U.S. economy.
President Trump's overall economic policy approval rating is 44%. This is down by 7 percentage points compared to the number (51%) recorded during the survey on February 2. Trump's approval rating also dropped by 3 percentage points, falling from 50% last month to 47%.
