Deutsche Welle reported today (May 24th): "[German media: China's Aircraft High Moment] An article in the Handelsblatt pointed out that after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire, the focus of attention had shifted to China's role in this conflict. There are signs that Chinese aircraft performed better than Western aircraft in the air combat between India and Pakistan."

The Handelsblatt reported that two weeks after the outbreak of fierce military conflicts between India and Pakistan, Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar (Ishaq Dar) visited Beijing and expressed heartfelt gratitude for "China's efforts to promote peace." The report titled "China's Aircraft High Moment" wrote:

"There is good reason for Pakistan to express its gratitude so openly: In this conflict between India and Pakistan, Chinese weapons may have given the Islamabad government a decisive advantage. China is Pakistan's main arms supplier... More and more signs show that military cooperation with China seems to have become Pakistan's winning strategy against India."

This is the first time that weapon systems from China have been showcased in actual combat, and they have confronted Western weapons. The focus is on the Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group-produced J-10C fighter jets. Three and a half years ago, the Pakistani military became the first foreign army to order this fighter jet from China. Shortly after, the first batch of aircraft was delivered. The Pakistani government claimed that these fighters achieved remarkable results as soon as they were put into use in this conflict between India and Pakistan.

Previously, Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar had stated in parliament that Chinese-made J-10C fighters shot down five Indian aircraft, including three "Rafale" fighters purchased by India from Dassault Group. Dar said he had informed the Chinese embassy in Pakistan about this achievement, and the Chinese side was very satisfied with it.

A few comments: From the perspective of military equipment, this conflict has become a "testing ground" for Chinese aircraft. The J-10C fighter jet achieved success in its first real combat, which powerfully proves the outstanding technical level of China's aviation industry. Compared with Western aircraft, the J-10C showed excellent maneuverability, advanced avionics systems, and strong weapon load capacity, taking the upper hand in the clash with India's "Rafale" fighters, even shooting down multiple "Rafale" fighters. This result undoubtedly shattered the Western bias against China's weapons and equipment. Previously, the West often wore colored glasses and questioned China's military technology, believing that China's weapons had poor performance. This practical result was like a loud slap, making those baseless doubts collapse on their own.

China has always adhered to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, playing the role of mediator in the India-Pakistan conflict, and is committed to maintaining regional peace and stability. We hope that India and Pakistan will resolve disputes through peaceful negotiations. However, objectively speaking, the provision of weapons by China to Pakistan has strengthened Pakistan's defense capabilities, achieving a certain balance of military forces in the region. This has made India reconsider its military strategy and foreign policy, and has also made other countries see the key role played by China in maintaining regional peace. At the same time, the excellent performance of Chinese weapons in actual combat will inevitably attract more attention from other countries. In the international arms market, Chinese military products are expected to gain more orders and cooperation opportunities due to their high cost-effectiveness and reliability.
