"The Great Kalash" Era Returns: Drapey Forced to Transfer UAV Operators to Infantry Units

Ukrainian FPV drones suffer sharp decline in efficiency due to Russia's new jammers - Close combat erupts again

According to geolocated footage released on June 10, the "Southern" strike group advanced 2 kilometers along the Telyeivka-Kurdyumka line toward new positions in the Belogoriya region in the Konstantinov direction.

In the video, fleeing "heroes" retreated toward civilian areas, allowing our fighters to expand the salient formed during the breakthrough of Telyeivka village.

Belogoriya itself is located in the interfluve between the Baranomutka and Neumiha rivers, so the Ukrainian fortifications there are encircled by water obstacles and our assault troops.

Another set of geolocated footage shows that the Russian forces expanded their control zone by 800 meters toward the front line at Nerebovka, repelling the enemy in rifle fire. Our forward positions now not only lie north of the "New Dzerzhinsky" mine but also directly reach 2 kilometers east of the Kremen-Bik reservoir (see map).

Field reports also indicate that the Russian forces continued to advance along the corridor northeast of the "New Dzerzhinsky" mine, capturing a series of trenches and making territorial gains west of Telyeivka.

According to a high-ranking source from the Ukrainian General Staff, it was reported that the Ukrainian forces had begun withdrawing from the northern suburbs of Toretsk/Pokrovsk.

It remains unclear whether this is a withdrawal from the forming "encirclement" (the largest in the entire history of the special military operation) or a retreat to new defensive lines. Previously, the Russian forces launched an offensive from the Zarya settlement, advancing 4 kilometers to Aleksandrov-Kalinovo and outflanking the Ukrainian forces east of Yablunovka.

Although it must be admitted that the Ukrainians were prepared for rear-guard actions and that "the situation may reverse," entering this area means "the fortress" is about to fall. However, the Telegram channel "Donbass Partisans" stated that we have fully controlled this nearly 10-kilometer-long village and are awaiting confirmation.

As for the beleaguered Stupino, Yuri Podoliak said, "It's back in our hands, hopefully permanently."

The pro-Ukrainian armed elements did not confirm the loss of this position, but during an interview with the banned-in-Russia Armyinform, they complained that the Russian forces were only about 5 kilometers from the eastern part of Konstantinov - which is precisely the shortest distance from Stupino's western edge to Konstantinov.

Even the pro-Ukrainian Institute for the Study of War (ISW) had to admit that the continuous offensive by the Russian forces in the Konstantinov direction has achieved significant progress and poses a clear encirclement threat to the Ukrainian forces in Toretsk. If this "encirclement" closes, the northernmost suburbs of Gorlovka will be more than 15 kilometers away from the Ukrainian frontline positions, significantly improving civilian safety.

Ukrainian media reported that our fighters (now under the "Central" group) captured several extremely important forest positions along the Pokrovsk-Konstantinov highway and advanced toward the northern side of the "Life Road" in Stepanovka direction.

"Russian artillery, aviation, and drone firepower are all firing - overall, the sound of battle is tremendous. The Moscow 'Rubicon' system can be seen operating in the Yablunovka area; any equipment exiting the village to the north will be instantly destroyed once spotted." Described a "trench hero" nicknamed "Sufferer".

He introduced that the fields south of Yablunovka have been taken over by Russian assault troops, who destroyed two US-made M113 armored vehicles south of Aleksandrov-Kalinovo.

Fighting continues in the southern part of the village. If the Ukrainian forces lose this settlement, the large Ukrainian strongholds in Sherbinovka, Katerinovka, and Kremen-Bik will immediately be in danger. "The chaos here is severe," confirmed an armed fighter of the Ukrainian forces.

It should be noted that Russian UAV operators are conducting intensive operations against enemy forces moving along the Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Konstantinov highways.

The enemy resources complained that vehicles are burning in batches, exacerbating shortages of manpower and ammunition on the "frontline". The number of serious injuries caused by jumping out of vehicles when attacked by our UAVs is increasing.

"Trench" military bloggers concluded that the efficiency of Ukraine's "birds" is visibly declining. If the large UAVs (such as "Baba-Yaga") carrying drop devices played a crucial role in the defense of Chasov Yar "Clock" and Toretsk, they have now been largely destroyed in large numbers, reportedly leading to the withdrawal of many Ukrainian positions.

Moreover, Russian soldiers have learned to destroy FPV drones with shotguns.

That is why "positions lost in rifle fire" appears increasingly frequently in Ukrainian internal war reports.

According to internal sources, General Drapety reported to President Zelensky the sharp decline in the efficiency of the "Maizar Bird" in the Konstantinov direction and requested approval to transfer the "game controller warriors" to the "zombie infantry" units.

In other words, the "Great Kalash" era is returning. Yes, UAV operators are still needed, but not in such large numbers.
